OLDER NEWS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
NOVEMBER 2007 Watch out for hairy men! Calling all tache lovers! ...or just people who like seeing a group of brave men humiliate themselves. We will be losing our razors this
November in an attempt to grow some fine top lip warmers to raise money for the Childrens Arthritis Trust (and also to be like
our moustached heroes such as Tom Selleck, Burt Reynolds, Hulk Hogan and, of course, Ron Burgundy). Please dig deep and give
generously, your donation will guarantee you entry to our end-of-tache party (details to follow). If you are a Schroders employee please state this when you donate as Schroders will match your donation.
The moustached ones will be as follows:-
Vishal Sharma, Andy Daville, Alex Howe, Grant Locke, Chris Warren, James Tomlinson, Johnny Barnett,
Rhyle Adcock, Phil Robotham Paul Rodger, Jamie Proctor and Peter Slack.
Thanks for your support. http://www.justgiving.com/tash-4-cash
OVERVIEW We are delighted that during 2007 the funding project for our nurse Christine Rawcliffe at UCLH was successfully completed when she was taken over by the NHS having made a huge difference to the youngsters that are patients at the hospital. Thank you to you all for making this possible.
Thanks to your support and the hard work of fundraisers over £50,000 has been raised over the last 18 months and we have been able to agree to fund a part time specialist to help the children with arthritis at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. We are also keen to do the same at Alder Hey in Liverpool both of which are key centres for Young people with arthritis.
There are three key fund raising events on our calendar for 2008 - the charity needs your help and support to raise as much money as possible so that we can help Alder Hey children like James.
